I seem to have accumulated a vast amount of pink underwear.
Seriously, like a dozen or more pairs that are either completely or substantially pink. How in the flying H*ll did that happen - I don't even like pink! 0.o
Underwear manufacturers, listen up - girls can like other colours besides pink. Purple, blue, green, yellow...............anything but pink!

Apparently I'm a liar
Well, in my last post I assured my (one) reader that normal service would resume shortly. Well, I now have 3 readers, and haven't updated in over a week.
Ooops!
In fairness I haven't done much of anything worth blogging about this week. I found out I'll be marshalling the graduation ceremonies at the University, so that's 2 weeks pf paid work at least. Still looking for that elusive permanent job.
I finally have both the letters I needed from my Dr, so that I can appeal to the University to be allowed to finish my degree. I only have approx. 1 semester's-worth of work left, so fingers crossed that I'll be allowed back. I have no fecking idea what I'm going to do if they don't.
*postive thoughts*positive thoughts*positive thoughts*
Anyway, I did go out on Friday night. Had a great time - drank too much. And for future revellers at Sela Bar, I recommend the Vanilla Russian over the Cherry Bakewell. Seriously recommend.
Apparently I also missed a police/car chase that night - my friend I was out with saw it as he was walking home - guess it was just after I left. Bummer! All that time spent watching World's Wildest/Weirdest/Most Pointless *Insert Generic Cop show name here* and I miss an actual chase. I hasten to add that no-one was hurt (as far as I know), and if they had been I would be shutting right the heck up now.
My friends M and M may be coming to visit me later this summer if they can get United to sort the flights out. Pretty cool - I figured I wouldn't see them for another year, so I'm quite psyched about that.
I think that's all for now. On the off-chance that I do anything else that falls within shrieking distance of interesting, I shall let you know. In the meantime *dramatic bow* I bid you adieu!

Absent
In case my (one) reader is interested, I have not forgotten about this place. I have unfortunately been struck by a sinus infection/chest infection, so have been more than a little zombiefied the past couple of days. Normal service will be resumed shortly.
That is all.
*End transmission*
(Really shouldn't watch so many old, bad sci-fi films).

Notes on shoes
This one is for my friend M(2).
I mentioned previously that I purchased some shoes on Sunday.

I also mentioned having gone to war with some new shoes Saturday night - thought I'd provide the evidence:

and the shoes that did me in

Seriously. Black flats. Shoes hate me. Hence the wedges - figure if I'm going to be slowly murdered by my own shoes, might as well do it in style. :D
ETA: I'm aware that the sandals would be cooler in black. However in a shoe sale, one must take (read: grab off the shelf as soon as you find the right size and refuse to let go under penalty of death) what one can get.

TV ramblings
SVU S10 Ep9
Synopsis: PTSD
The death of a marine who was pregnant by a rapist puts the unit at odds with the Pentagon when they fight to keep the case, and Benson's flashbacks of her own assault may further impede the investigation.
Read this and my first thought was 'shouldn't NCIS be investigating this?'
Damn you for corrupting me!! (U know who you are ;)).
Oh, and they're making them (NCIS/Marines) look totally incompetent. I'd like to see them say that sh*z to Gibbs!!

Monday quickie
Just a quick note for today, as I'm utterly sleep-deprived and only marginally coherent as a result (did I even spell that right? 0.o). Anyway, just wanted to say anyone looking for an interesting blog to read (okay, I know no-one's actually reading this, but still), check out http://fashionispoison.blogspot.com/. The author is a smart, savvy chick with a very unique fashion-sense, and her blog makes for great reading.
Check it out!

Spam - a short rant
Why, all of a sudden, is my email account being deluged by spam? I've had the same account for......a bloody long time anyway, and have hardly ever had a problem with unwanted junk emails. Now, for no apparent reason, everytime I log into my account, there is new rubbish waiting for me. I haven't altered my surfing habits recently - I tend to visit the same sites as before - so what gives? And what on earth is the point of spam anyway - does anyone sending the stuff out believe it actually gets read? No, it gets deleted. So what does it achieve?
Please, stop the Spam!!!
